War Thunder Mobile Sniper event guide: How to get the German Boxer

Mobile Sniper is the ongoing event in War Thunder, where you can get the German Boxer MGS light tank. This one comes after the Persian Tomcat event that took place in August 2024. This is also the second major ground vehicle event, after Call of the Dragon from earlier this year where you could get the Russian experimental Object 292. The German Boxer MGS is a modification on the Vilkas IFV as it gets a new turret with a 105 mm cannon.

In this article, we will discuss everything you need to know about the Mobile Sniper event in this premier vehicle combat MMO.

The Mobile Sniper event will take place from 11:00 GMT on October 3, 2024, until 11:00 GMT on October 21, 2024. You need to get a mission score of 45000 in ground battles in order to complete each task, which you must do within 2 days.

The German Boxer MGS is the major reward for the Mobile Sniper event in War Thunder. In order to acquire it, you need to complete eight tasks out of nine in total. The tasks for this event are called Mark of Distinction for Tankers, and each one is represented by a star icon.

Each completed task also grants you additional rewards. Let's take a look at what those are:

1 Task: You get a Prize Trophy, which can grant you one of the following: SL or RP Booster, Premium Account for one day, Camouflage, Universal Backups, Order, or Wager.
2 Tasks: One of the two special decals from this event, namely "Born to be a Sniper" and "Sniper Chevron".
3 Tasks: A Prize Trophy like the one mentioned earlier.
4 Tasks: The second of the two special decals.
5 Tasks: Another Prize Trophy.
6 Tasks: A "Modern Sniper Rifle (Germany)" decorator for vehicles.
7 Tasks: The fourth and last Prize Trophy.
8 Tasks: The non-tradeable coupon for the Boxer MGS.
9 Tasks: Demonstration Camouflage for the Boxer MGS, and four random modifications for the vehicle.

War Thunder: Mobile Sniper coupon upgrade

If you want to sell the Boxer MGS on the Gaijin Market, you need to grind out the Upgrade Coupon for the Boxer MGS. In order to do so, you have to accumulate a 750000 mission score from ground battles during the span of the event.

Participating in ground battles will earn you the mission score for Mobile Sniper. The three game modes - Arcade, Realistic, and Simulator - have different score multipliers for this event. They are:

Ground Arcade: Nil.
Ground Realistic: x1.33
Ground Simulator: x1.8

Also, the rank that you are playing has additional score multipliers:

Rank I-IV: x0.9
Rank V: x1
Rank VI: x1.1
Rank VII-VIII: x1.2

Keep in mind that only tanks and other ground vehicles that are Rank III and above are counted for this event. However, event vehicles will count starting from Rank I and above.
