War Thunder Persian Tomcat event guide: schedule, rewards, and more

The Persian Tomcat is the latest event in War Thunder where you can get the Iranian Air Force (IRIAF) F-14 Tomcat. This is the third event this year after the Call of the Dragon and the Flight of the Albatross, where you could get the experimental Object 292, and the gunboat Alcione, respectively. The IRIAF F-14 is the third F-14 variant added to the game and will be a part of the American air tree.

The Persian Tomcat event will be ongoing from 11:00 GMT on August 8th until 11:00 GMT on August 26th. You have to get a 45000 mission score in air battles to complete each stage or task. You only get two days to complete each task.

The IRIAF F-14A Tomcat is the main reward of the Persian Tomcat event. You need to finish eight tasks, or stages, to acquire it. Each task is represented by a star icon and is known as the Mark of Distinction for Pilots. Each task also grants you a reward when you complete them. Let's have a look at those:

• 1 Task: You get a Prize Trophy from which you can get one of the following: SL or RP Booster, Premium Account for one day, or Wager.
• 2 Tasks: You get one of the two special decals from this event, namely 'Emblem of the Imperial Iranian Air Force' and 'Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force.'
• 3 Tasks: A Travel Suitcase from which you can get one of the following items: Silver Lions, Consumable Item ranging from common to ultra rare, Profile Icon, Decal, Camouflage, Decoration, and Vehicle.
• 4 Tasks: The second of the two special decals mentioned above.
• 5 Tasks: A Prize Trophy similar to the one mentioned earlier.
• 6 Tasks: 'Jalil Zandi' profile icon.
• 7 Tasks: A Travel Suitcase like the one previously mentioned.
• 8 Tasks: The F-14A IRIAF.
• 9 Tasks: Experimental Camouflage and four random modifications for the F-14A IRIAF.

You also have the option to upgrade the F-14A IRIAF coupon so that you can sell it on the Gaijin Marketplace for Gaijin Coins. To do so, you have to accumulate 750000 mission score from air battles during the span of the event.

As mentioned, you can only participate in the event by playing air battles, in the Air Arcade, Air Realistic, and Air Simulator modes. All three modes have different score multipliers:

• Arcade: x1
• Realistic: x1.4
• Simulator: x3

On top of that, the rank you play also has additional score multipliers. They are:

• Rank I-III: x0.8
• Rank IV: x0.9
• Rank V: x1
• Rank VI: x1.1
• Rank VII-VIII: x1.2

Keep in mind that only aircraft from rank III and above are counted for this event. On top of this, event vehicles will be counted from rank I and above.
