The Calendar system is a separate mission-oriented and objective-based progression mechanic added to the game alongside Warframe 1999's other features such as a PvPvE game mode. The objectives and rewards are also all randomized, as a natural part of the Calendar system.
The Calendar system can be separated into three sub-sections, namely Tasks, Overrides, and Rewards. Tasks are miniature objectives that can be completed within one or multiple missions. Furthermore, these Tasks can only be completed in missions launched from the POM-2 PC in the Hollvania Backroom and the Orbiter — not the bounties.
Completing these objectives rewards a chunk of XP and progresses the Calendar further until another Milestone is reached. These Tasks are denoted by a clipboard sign on the Calendar.
Next up are the Hex Overdrives where players get to choose the upgrades they like for their characters. These Hex Overrides provide small stat boosts throughout the seasonal journey and are reset whenever a new seasonal cycle starts.

Hex Overrides further come in two different flavors. Hex Boosts are passive stat boosts while Hex Factors provide active bonuses with situational triggers like performing a bullet jump. Do note that Hex Overrides show up as the Wrench sign on the Calendar.
Rewards are interesting because these are also choice-based. Yet, for now, there are only two options for each Reward Milestone. These can also include anything from Archon Shards to Kuva to Riven mods. Completing any of these three Milestones will instantly push the Calendar system forward onto its next Milestone. There are also no daily limits on how many Calendar objectives you can complete in a day.
Birthdays are unique Milestones on the Calendar, where you can send a message to the appropriate recipient. These birthday wishes, alongside some healthy conversations and gift exchanges, are a great way to increase your Chemistry with the Hex Syndicate members. These appear as a Cake symbol on the Calendar screen.
It is important to remember that Calendars are reset with every seasonal refresh, which coincides with the Weekly update. Moreover, with said reset comes new Tasks, Milestones, and Rewards.
