Belly of The Beast is the latest Warframe Clan Operation, starting with the release of the Jade Shadows update today (June 18). Like with all prior Clan Operations, such as last year's Gargoyle's Cry, this is an excellent opportunity for you to grind any Aracane of your choosing. This includes rare wares like Arcane Energize, which are very expensive in the open market.

In this guide, we will go over everything you need to know about the Belly of the Beast Operation in Warframe, including how to join, what to do, and what you can get.

How to take part in Operation Belly of the Beast

Belly of the Beast is very similar to Operation Gargoyle's Cry from last winter, in that you have to grind a new game mode to pick up its rewards. With Belly of The Beast, this game mode is Ascension. Head over to Brutus, Uranus after you beat the Jade Shadow quest to get started.

At the end of each Ascension run, you get a trace amount of a new resource called Volatile Motes. This is the currency for this Operation, meaning the faster you can beat Ascension, the richer you will get from the Belly of The Beast.

Volatile Motes must be taken to Ordis in Larunda Relay, who will act as the placeholder vendor for this Operation. Click on 'Commit Volatile Motes' to check the Operation rewards inventory.

When does the Belly of the Beast Operation end?

Operation: Belly of The Beast will end on July 18 at 11:30am ET. After the Operation goes offline Ordis will move to Drifter's camp instead of Larunda Relay, and only sell Jade parts, weapons, and the new Arcanes added in Jade Shadows.

Does Playing the Stalker give you more Operation rewards in Belly of the Beast?

You can play as the Stalker to assist other players with the 'A Shared Purpose?' option. It's the only way to play the Stalker outside The Circuit, but there are no additional benefits or rewards for this.

Stalker mode gives you the same Ascension experience as if you were a regular Warframe but with added risk. If you get downed once as the Stalker, it's game over.

How to easily farm Volatile Motes in Warframe

You can get 4-6 Volatile Motes by beating the Ascension mission (Brutus, Uranus) in its Operation variant. On Steel Path, you can get 8-10 Volatile Motes in the same manner.

There are only two impediments in the Ascension mission during this Operation: the platforming and the Jade Eximus units. However, you can completely trivialize this mission with a specific Warframe-Helminth combo.

This is Wukong, supplemented with the Silence Helminth ability on his fourth ability slot. Silence nullifies all of the Jade Eximus tracking laser attack shenanigans in an AoE. Meanwhile, Cloud Walker lets you easily catch up if you make a mistake and fall off the elevator. Alternatively, you can also use Titania with the same strategy.

If you are playing solo, you can simply focus on keeping the elevator energy up. In a squad, it is also a good idea to look for the Sister Beacons, as they drop both Vestigial Motes and Volatile Motes.

Belly of The Beasts brings back some legacy Operation rewards, including Krios Signa from Operation Gargoyle's Cry.

You can get the following items from Ordis' 'Commit Volatile Motes' inventory:

  • Krios Signa: 1 Volatile Mote
  • Low Guardian Chestplate: 40 Volatile Motes
  • Belly of the Beast Sigil: 15 Volatile Motes
  • Prominence Wisp Totem: 15 Volatile Motes
  • Fluctus Rahk Skin: 45 Volatile Motes
  • Ceti Lacera Blueprint: 15 Volatile Motes
  • Basmu Blueprint: 15 Volatile Motes
  • Stance Forma Blueprint: 15 Volatile Motes
  • The Ballroom Simulacrum: 15 Volatile Motes
  • Eidolon Arcanes: 1/3/5 Volatile Motes each depending on rarity (excludes Energize, Grace, and Barrier)

There are also three community rewards that you can only purchase after a stretch-goal. If you cannot access them yet, the only thing to do is wait a while until more people progress the Belly of the Beast 'event bar.' These are the three forms of an exclusive Jade-themed Ephemera:

  • Aspirus Ephemera: 40 Volatile Motes
  • Aspirus Emergent Ephemera: 40 Volatile Motes
  • Aspirus Apex Ephemera: 40 Volatile Motes

Those who are in a Clan can enter a second inventory where the following items are available:

  • Enlightened Hate Skin: 100 Volatile Motes
  • Gilded Clan Sigil: 15 Volatile Motes
  • Glyphed Clan Sigil: 15 Volatile Motes
  • Arcane Energize: 46 Volatile Motes
  • Arcane Grace: 46 Volatile Motes
  • Arcane Barrier: 46 Volatile Motes
  • Belly of The Beast Emblem: 45 Volatile Motes

Note that there is a strict limit of 42 Arcanes of each type. In other words, you can only get two sets of each Arcane from this Operation. Most other items also have a limited quantity that you can purchase from an account.
