Okina is the latest Tenno foundry weapon to receive an Incarnon Genesis evolution, as part of the new Rotation H released with the Koumei and The Five Fates update. Originally released in 2016 with the Specters of the Rails update, Okina is the only Dual Sai weapon in Warframe and has been relegated to mastery fodder since then. However, the Incarnon Genesis has successfully reintroduced the weapon back in the meta.
This guide will highlight all the features of Okina's Incarnon Genesis evolution, Talent options, usage methods, and optimal builds to aim for.

How does Okina's Incarnon Genesis evolution work in Warframe?
Okina is designed as a general-use melee weapon and doesn't have special utilities beyond a moderately high Slash damage component. Okina Prime, however, has its uses as a Crit-based platform, given the higher critical chance and Critical Damage rolls compared to the standard variant.
The Incarnon Genesis evolution is drastically different than either playstyle. The first evolution stage allows Okina to conjure spectral daggers on enemy kills that can track and hit targets, inflicting them and enemies around them with Cold status procs. These Cold procs can be combined with other element mods and status-spreading Riven mods to inflict a lot of status procs quickly.
All Okina Incarnon Talents in Warframe, and the best ones to take
Okina follows the standard Incarnon Genesis evolution path and has four upgrade stages with multiple Talent choices. Here are the options, at a glance:
For this guide, we will take Synergist Surety > Standoff > Alchemy of War.
Which variant of Okina is better for Incarnon Genesis evolution?
The answer to this question is rather simple compared to weapons with multiple variants like Sybaris. Okina has only a prime variant with much higher stats to compete with. Despite that, Okina Prime's higher Riven stat disposition makes it a bad choice for stat-scaling.
In short, Okina Prime has a much higher base damage of 184 than Okina's 140, alongside a much higher base critical strike chance of 30% than the original's 16%. Seeing how the Incarnon Genesis evolution perks highly value status procs and dot damage is counted off the hit damage, it is much better to invest in Okina Prime.

3-Forma build for Okina Incarnon in Warframe
Okina's, or rather, Okina Prime's Incarnon Genesis build is pretty easy to set up and doesn't make it taxing on one's resources. Given that most high-damage and high-value melee mods are in the Madurai (V-shaped) polarity, players can run this setup with a meager 2-Forma investment.
Mods used:
- Blood Rush
- Weeping Wounds
- Primed Smite Orokin
- Primed Reach
- Condition Overload
- Quickening
- Shocking Touch
- Organ Shatter
This build is set to function as a status-spreading killing machine. Condition Overload is a flat damage increase based on the number of unique status procs on an enemy. Blood Rush and Weeping Wounds are quick ways to get high combo counters and get damage out of said combo counters.
Two mods are used as placeholders for Galvanized mods. First off, Organ Shatter is good but should be swapped out for Galvanized Steel immediately. Quickening is a good option for most melee Incarnons, however, it can be swapped out for Primed Fury if you need more attack speed, or Galvanized Elementalist if you have an Arcane Strike boosting your attack speed.
Primed Smite Orokin is also a placeholder for faction mods, and should be swapped out for other factions before a mission. If you do not have the primed version, just using the normal variant is completely fine. In case of neither mods being available, just use Pressure Point. However, do aim to obtain the faction mods fast as those provide a much higher damage multiplier over flat boosts.
Shocking Touch is also a mod that should be swapped out depending on the enemy faction, as it can be spread as a status proc through the Incarnon evolution's spectral daggers. The Melee Influence Riven is optional but it can give a much-needed AoE clear.
