Warframe Lotus Eaters, an upcoming patch, is going to release on August 21, 2024. While a much bigger fall update is going to introduce big QoL changes afterward, this launch is somewhat limited in its scope. Lotus Easters' highlight will be the titular cinematic quest, which will serve as a segue between Whispers in The Walls and what's coming in Warframe 1999.

Alongside the Lotus Eaters update, we will also have our second new Prime this year: Sevagoth Prime. Going by the release order, most of us expected Xaku's turn to be up next, but it seems we will have to wait longer for that.

Like always, Sevagoth Prime will ship with a new Orokin-fashioned cosmetic look, as well as Primed variants of his signature weaponry, including Epitaph Prime. Sevagoth himself is an underrated Warframe who could use the popularity boost, but Epitaph Prime will likely be the biggest head-turner in this batch.

Warframe Lotus Eaters update: Here's what you should do to prepare

Warframe Lotus Eaters is going to be a prelude to the events of Warframe 1999, a major update coming in winter 2024. Naturally, this cinematic story quest is only going to be available to players who have beaten the entirety of the current main story questline. This includes big quest chains, New War, and other content all the way to Whispers in The Walls.

For those who have not cleared out the Warframe main quest, now is the time to do Whispers in the Walls.

Furthermore, Protea Prime Access is going away to make space for Sevagoth Prime and his signature equipment. The frame itself won't be vaulted, but this day may be your final chance to get the Protea Prime Access-exclusive cosmetics for a while.

The new Primed stuff will also come with new Relics. Before the release date of Warframe Lotus Eaters, max out your standing with neutral Syndicates and horde up on Steel Essence. This will allow you to buy out a high number of Relic packs right after the update, which has a good chance of giving you some or all of the new Relics.
