The commonly used Prisma Lenz build in Warframe does not deviate too far from the old Hunter Munition-Viral combo common with the likes of Kuva Bramma. However, much like the regular Lenz, the Prisma variant has some lesser-explored interactions with Arcane Frostbite that we will attempt to turn into a build in this guide.
It still cannot quite compete with the Incarnon meta contenders, but it's exceptionally fun to use after the Jade Shadows update.
In this Prisma Lenz build guide, we will go over what we have found to be the optimal mod setup and Arcane synergy, as well as the best Warframe you can pair it up with.
Note: While we have tried this on a Prisma Lenz, the idea also applies to regular Lenz due to mechanical similarity.
Warframe Prisma Lenz build guide for Steel Path (4-Forma)
Mods used:
- Vile Acceleration
- Critical Delay
- Vital Sense
- Primed Firestorm
- Malignant Force
- Shivering Contagion (Can be replaced with Hunter Munitions if you are not using any armor-stripping ability or Corrosive primer)
- Serration
- Galvanized Chamber
- Exilus slot: Vigilante Supplies
- Arcane: Primary Frostbite
Before we can explain the mod setup, this Prisma Lenz build needs some explanation of the weapon's firing mechanics. Each arrow from the weapon can deal up to three separate damage types in separate instances:
- Direct hits to an enemy deal Impact damage, staggering the enemy, and then proceed with the other damage instances below.
- Arrows from Prisma Lenz deal a preliminary bout of Cold damage to enemies, slowing them down and 'priming' them for the final bonanza. This damage instance also force-procs Cold regardless of your modded elements.
- Finally, the arrow explodes in the same AoE, creating an instance of Blast damage.

This Prisma Lenz build shines against high enemy density, which is particularly common in Warframe's Steel Path. Due to the large AoE form Primed Firestorm, the new Blast proc after the Jade Shadows update benefits from quadratic scaling. More importantly, the forced Cold proc is enough to max out stacks of Arcane Frostbite in two or three shots.
The setup also deals Toxin damage on top of the final Blast proc, which is a good way to take out Corpus units easily.
Riven
Prisma Lenz has only middling Riven Disposition due to being a relatively new weapon in Warframe. Still, if you want to roll Rivens for it, here are some of the stats you should prioritize with this Prisma Lenz build:
- Toxin
- Damage
- Fire Rate
- Status Duration (if using Hunter Munitions)

Warframe Synergy
Saryn, who essentially got shadow-buffed with Jade Shadows, is great for making Prisma Lenz even better. Toxic Lash applies a tick on every instance of damage, and Prisma Lenz deals up to four separate damage instances without even counting multishot.
With Saryn, you should also consider having Roar or a Primed faction damage multiplier mod to have double-dipping damage scaling on regular Toxin procs.
