Warframe's new Sicarus Incarnon Genesis is the most powerful one, but not for long

Explore how Incarnon Sicarus is simply too good to be true

With the release of its Incarnon Genesis adapter, Sicarus has suddenly become the most OP secondary in Warframe. In its recent update 37, the game just released a fresh batch of five new Incarnons after about a year. The top coveted one is easily the Genesis Adapter for Sybaris, but the one for Sicarus has become a trendsetter with the display of raw power in day-one testing.

Currently, Incarnon Sicarus Prime is dealing over 100k health damage (sans armor mitigation) without any mods on, thanks to its overpowered Incarnon talents. However, this is a clear indicator that something is currently bugged about it. The Incarnon Genesis weapons are the meta-setting endgame school of weaponry in Warframe, but this is too powerful even by that metric.

Sicarus' Incarnon sets a new precedent for raw damage in Warframe, but it's almost certainly a bug

Incarnon weapons in Warframe stand out from other weapons thanks to their Incarnon Talent tree. These are perks you can unlock and select to alter the stats of the weapon, as well as conditional buffs that further incentivize a specific build path.

Incarnon Genesis applies the same formula to the older weapons of this aging game. Likewise, Sicarus Incarnon Genesis can be retrofitted on Sicarus or Sicarus Prime.

Unlike many Incarnon transformations, Sicarus' transmuted form does not seem to be an AoE clearing weapon overtly. It adds a one-time ricochet mechanic for some added oomph to what was originally a trusty single-target handgun. However, with punch-through, all enemies that get hit can proc the ricochet independently, meaning you can still clear rooms as long as you have a group-up tool.

The Incarnon Talent options are provided below:

Incarnon Evolution stageChallengeTalent options
Evolution I
Complete a solo mission with this weapon equipped.
Feigned Retreat: Increase Base Damage by +35; +40% Damage to enemies below half Health
Paragon Essence: Increase Base Damage by +35; x0 Critical Chance on Bodyshots but +150% Critical Chance on Headshots
Evolution II
Kill 100 enemies with this weapon's Incarnon Form.
Void Guidance: +40% Accuracy; -40% Recoil
Rapid Reinforcement: +50% Reload Speed
Extended Volley: Extend base magazine capacity by 9
Evolution III
Get 40 headshots with this weapon in Incarnon form in a single mission.
Commodore's Fortune: +14% Base Critical Chance
Survivor's Edge: +9% Base Critical Chance, +9% Base Status CDhance
Wiseman's Regard: Increase Base Status Chance by 30% of Current Critical Chance, up to +40%

There are some interesting fresh ideas for two of these Incarnon Talents: Paragon's Essence and Wiseman's Regard. By default, these two make the build options very versatile, as you can easily get both high critical and status chance.

However, if we had to wager a guess, the Incarnon perks are certainly bugged in terms of damage calculation at the time of writing. The raw damage output before any status effects kick in does not add up currently.

Even with full critical talent, the base status chance of Incarnon Sicarus Prime is 97.5% (base CC of 39% with Commodore's Fortune) on headshots, which effectively only doubles its damage on all of its shots unmodded.

The possible multiplication glitch is likely getting hotfixes soon. Even so, we think Incarnon Sicarus will be an A-tier Incarnon weapon contender post-nerf.
