Warframe: Complete Sybaris Incarnon build guide

Sybaris is the de-facto poster boy of Warframe's latest Incarnon Genesis batch (Rotation H). The original weapon is arguably the most beloved gun in the limited niche of lever-action rifles in Warframe. Unlike the Incarnon Soma blunder, the Sybaris Incarnon Genesis honors and elevates this community-darling status, as its Incarnon form takes a single-target weapon and turns it into an AoE weapon in a fresh way.

In this build guide for Incarnon Sybaris, we'll discuss its mechanics, Incarnon Talent options, and the best mods to use.

How does the Sybaris Incarnon transformation work in Warframe?

All variants of Sybaris fulfill the niche of single-shot rifles, similar to Grinlok or Kuva Chakkhur. However, Sybaris is technically a burst-fire weapon - its variants fire two-round bursts (and not in a duplex-fire round like Tigris).

It's usual for Incarnon transformations to change the weapon trigger type completely, but Sybaris is the rare exception. Instead of modifying the burst-fire nature, it doubles down on that identity, and you get a four-round burst fire per trigger. The Incarnon mode also deals Blast procs on every hit, ensuring four guaranteed Blast status build-ups on each burst before Multishot is taken into account.

Prime vs Dex: Which Sybaris variant to use for Sybaris Incarnon?

You can slap your Sybaris Incarnon Genesis Adapter onto any variant of the gun. Doing it on regular Sybaris would be a waste despite the higher Talent stats, so your choice comes down to Dex Sybaris or Sybaris Prime.

Dex Sybaris offers a higher critical chance, while Sybaris Prime offers marginally higher base damage and a substantially higher status chance. In other words, if you have a Crit-focused Riven, Dex Sybaris will outperform the Prime. This is not only because of the 5% higher base crit but also because the Dex has better Riven Disposition due to less accessibility.

For a general-use build, Sybaris Incarnon can be used for a critical-status hybrid setup with gun-CO (Galvanized Aptitude). With a heat-inherit Primer, your best-case DPS option is a viral-heat combination, which the Elementalist mod boosts further. However, you can change the elemental combo easily without changing the Forma setup, meaning you switch between three setups depending on the need.

Mods used

  • Galvanized Aptitude
  • Galvanized Chamber
  • Critical Delay
  • Vital Sense
  • Malignant Force
  • Rime Rounds
  • Thermite Rounds
  • Rifle Elementalist
  • Vigilante Supplies (Exilus Slot)

Arcane used

  • Primary Merciless

Elemental options

  • Rime Rounds+Malignant Force+Thermite Rounds is the default Viral+Heat combo that works on any content other than Deimos and Shrine Defense.
  • Swap Rime Rounds with High Voltage for Corrosive+Heat. By replacing Thermite Rounds with Rime Rounds, you can go for a pure Cold build with more up-front Raw damage reliance.
  • Swap Rime Rounds' position with Thermite Rounds, and add High Voltage for a Gas+Eletricity build.

Saryn/Toxic Lash Synergy

The forced Blast Proc can also deal additional Toxin damage if you activate Saryn's Toxic Lash. This scales based on the modded Toxin damage, so you can use the Incarnon mode to easily spread Spores and deal significant damage, especially against the Corpus.

For this, you want more coverage, but the Blast zone does not increase with Firestorm. Instead, this can be achieved through Punch-Through, which means more possible Blast procs for each enemy hit with a single bullet. So this is what you must do:

  • Put Malignant Force in the final slot.
  • Replace the original Malignant Force slot with Primed Shred/Vigilante Offense.
  • Replace Rime Rounds with Infected Clip (or a +Toxin Riven).
  • Take Elemental Dominance as your Evolution III talent
  • Use Primary Blight as your Arcane
