Seekers of Skyveil is an upcoming PvPvE fantasy extraction RPG developed by Elodie Games. The studio was founded by industry veterans who helped develop titles like Rocket League, StarCraft, Diablo, and Lord of the Rings Online. This new title promises to blend extraction shooter mechanics with elements inspired by popular MOBAs while being set in a fantasy setting.

Set for an Early Access launch in March 2025, the title has received decent praise so far from beta testers. While we haven’t gotten our hands on the game yet, in this article we delve into everything we know about the Seekers of Skyveil.

Easy learning curve

Unlike popular MOBAs like League of Legends, this game is designed to be easy to pick up but hard to master. Seekers of Skyveil lets players dive into its core extraction gameplay while offering a high skill ceiling for those who want to master the game.

Diverse selection of heroes

You will get to choose from a growing roster of characters called Seekers, each featuring classic fantasy archetypes. Some examples of these are:

  • Kumu: A tanky living tree with strong crowd-control abilities.
  • Neri: A playful turquoise healer with rhythmic flamboyance.
  • Lily: A bespectacled purple-robed wizard.

Each Seeker offers unique skills and playstyles, providing you with many options with regard to who you want to bank on.

Core gameplay loop

You will form teams of up to three players and compete in matches with up to 24 participants. You will have to battle AI enemies, discover hidden loot, and engage in PvP skirmishes as you explore the map, and get out alive with the loot. Matches take place in the Everbloom, a decent-sized and randomized map that changes regions, quests, and events with every session. You will find bosses guarding the best loot on the maps.

  • Collect valuable loot, earn gold, and acquire crafting materials by defeating creatures, opening treasure chests, and kill enemy players to loot them.
  • Extract successfully to keep your rewards, as dying means losing all your loot and coming back empty-handed.

Progression

You will have to build up your stash across matches. Use coins and crafting materials to:

  • Enhance and craft equipment.
  • Add unique passive abilities to gear using special gems.
  • Prepare for progressively challenging encounters in deeper regions of the map.

The game mechanics are pretty similar to one of the most popular titles in the genre, Dark and Darker.
