Shape Stabilizers in The First Descendant are used to slightly improve your odds in gacha pulls, aka opening Amorphous Materials. If you're trying to pull a certain material or code with a 1% chance of dropping when opening amorphous materials, this item could increase those odds by 10. Note that these statistics are only used for the sake of an example, the real odds can differ in the game.

Shape Stabilizers are typically acquired as a reward for completing Zone Recon Missions as well as Special Operations. No other missions reward this item so do not waste your time if you want to farm them. The Zone Recon Missions are usually marked with golden markers on the map so keep an eye out for them.

Although Shape Stabilizers can only be farmed from these missions, an RNG is involved behind the drop rates of these items as mission rewards. The Special Operations have a better chance of rewarding Shape Stabilizers. The odds of getting them as rewards for completing Special Operations is 8%.

But note that you will get access to these missions only when you clear all the other missions in a Zone.

To use Shape Stabilizers, get amorphous materials in The First Descendant. Once obtained, open them by defeating certain bosses. When opening the amorphous materials, use the Shape Stabilizers to improve your material drop odds, but note that you will need a particular Form of Shape stabilizer for each amorphous material.

To use Shape Stabilizers follow these steps:

To obtain the Amorphous Materials, grind through the specific missions.
To open them, defeat Void Intercepts and then use the Reconstructed Device that bosses will drop.
At this stage, you can raise your chances of obtaining the rarer drops from the Amorphous Material by using the appropriate Form of Shape Stabilizer.
