Xbox dedicated servers are coming to Palworld

According to the Palworld Sakurajima trailer revealed at the Summer Game Fest 2024, dedicated servers are coming to the game with the new update on June 27, 2024. Players on the Xbox Game Pass and the consoles will finally be able to create their own dedicated servers after this new update.

However, players enrolled in the Xbox Insider Program can access a special Palworld Update Preview. Starting June 12, 2024, these players will be granted early access to the Xbox dedicated servers for Pocketpair's title, allowing them to test the features and provide feedback before its global release.

The major advantage of dedicated servers is smoother co-op gameplay. With peer-to-peer connections, the number of players in a single session can be limited. Dedicated servers, however, can handle a larger player load more efficiently, allowing larger-scale co-op adventures.

Pocketpair made the dedicated server feature available for players on Steam, where up to 32 players could join the session at a given time. The Xbox platform on PC and consoles had an impressive player count, and bringing this feature can potentially see many return to the game.

Furthermore, dedicated Xbox servers will also make Raids easier and more enjoyable, especially with the new Raid Boss in the Sakurajima update.

How to access the dedicated Xbox servers in Palworld?

Usually, dedicated servers require a special server-file download that runs separately but in accordance with the game. For Steam, the method involved downloading with the SteamCMD for Windows and Linux gamers.
