Aluminum in Once Human is one of the resources you will need to hoard for crafting some of the late-game items, including weapons, armor, and other equipment. Unlike copper, aluminum is not easily available and you will need to embark on distant journeys to obtain it.
The game could do a better job of giving players hints about how or where to look when they need to collect this resource. Despite a detailed in-game "Manual," finding specific information can be quite hectic due to its convoluted menus.
So, if you're having issues locating aluminum ore, don't worry. This guide will provide all the information you need to find and collect it.
How to Collect Aluminum in Once Human?
As mentioned, aluminum is a mid to late-game resource needed to craft advanced items and gear. You won't be able to collect aluminum even if you encounter the ores in the wild if you haven't progressed enough. To obtain aluminum in Once Human, you will need to meet multiple prerequisites.
First, you will need to unlock the Memetic for a Steel Pickaxe. You can find it under the infrastructure tree, just below the Forging Techniques node. To make the pickaxe, you will need iron to create steel ingots. You can find iron ore in the Iron River region at level 28. Once you build the Steel Pickaxe, you can use it to mine aluminum ore.

Where to Look for Aluminum in Once Human?
Once you have your pickaxe, the next step is to search for aluminum ore. The aluminum ore deposits are similar to silver and tin deposits in appearance. The only defining difference is the slightly shinier silver color of the protruding ore on the rock. Aluminum ores usually spawn in groups.

Currently, the best spot to search for aluminum in Once Human is Chalk Peak, a level 32 area. This place is similar to Broken Delta, but instead of having swarms of tin ore, Chalk Peak features one of the largest concentrations of aluminum ore. As soon as you reach level 32, travel to this location to collect aluminum.
Here's a tip: If you don't want to wait for the ore to respawn once you've harvested it, stop mining right before it's about to break. You can do this by moving away from the rock just before the mining wheel completes.
That concludes our aluminum ore guide for Once Human. We hope this will help you obtain all the resources you need to progress on your journey.
