Wyvern Eggs in Ark Survival Ascended come in four varieties: Fire, Lightning, Poison, or Ice Wyverns. Wyverns are some of the most majestic dinos in the title. They can be useful in battles, building bases, and traveling. So, having a handful of Wyvern Eggs is extremely important. These eggs can also be consumed or used to create Extraordinary Kibble to tame various creatures.
Sometimes, Wyverns may leave their eggs unattended in nests, meaning you can easily sneak in and get those eggs. But before that, you must locate Wyvern Eggs. This guide will show you some of the best Wyvern Egg locations in Ark Survival Ascended.
Best Wyvern Egg locations in Ark Survival Ascended
The Best Wyvern Egg locations in Ark Survival Ascended are within the World Scar, a geographical feature that stretches from the southwest to the northwest of the Scorched Earth map. Players must note that the dragon is currently only available on the Scorched Earth map, not The Island.
It is recommended to explore the southern side of the scar, specifically at coordinates X:73 and Y:23, where a prominent scar lies on the planet's surface near a large mountain.
It’s better to tame a Lymantria and use it as your mount over a Tapajara because Lymantria has above-average speed and is small enough to fly between small spaces. Once you retrieve the egg, all the surrounding Wyvern will aggravate and try to kill you, so riding on Lymantria will give you a better chance of escaping those Wyvern parents.
Proceed to the southernmost part of the scar, close to the central cave. There’s an optional tip, but it will come in handy: Consider setting up a small structure using large gates or, even better, a small house at the southern end of the World Scar. This setup can help prevent Wyverns that are pursuing you to back out. Utilize the gates to your advantage to form a barrier between yourself and the Wyverns. This tactic will keep them at a distance, providing you with a secure escape path.
To reach the best Wyvern Egg locations, fly into the Scar from the south and search the walls for small caves where Wyvern Nests are usually found. While not all caves will have eggs, many do, especially in this southern area where you can find about seven nests. Use your Lymantria to move through the World Scar and watch for Wyvern nests. When you see an egg, swoop in and grab it. The wyverns will instantly notice your presence.
If Wyverns are attacking you in the scar and need to escape, mount on your Lymantria and fly back to pass through the gates. Quickly exit through the gates you strategically placed. The Wyverns will get stuck on the gates, giving you the chance to escape and seek shelter in your house or giving you time to run away.
