World of Warcraft reveals in-person celebrations around the world to celebrate Warcraft's 30th anniversary

Warcraft celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, so it’s time to look at World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, and the other games that make up this vast universe. Many fans were disappointed at the lack of Blizzcon in 2024, but in January 2025, Blizzard Entertainment revealed a series of free events around the world to celebrate the historic series of Orcs vs. Humans.

Six events, taking place all around the globe will celebrate the 30th anniversary of everything that came from the franchise. While the tickets will be free, space is limited; of course, you still have to get to its location! Here’s what we know so far.

30th Anniversary of “Warcraft” franchise includes in-person events for World of Warcraft and more

Between February and May 2025, there will be six small gatherings of World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, and Warcraft Rumble fans to join in on the 30th Anniversary celebration. The Warcraft 1 through 3 fans aren’t being left out either, we’re sure. Everyone has a different reason for enjoying the series of games - whether you just play the MMO, or were around in the very beginning.

Each location will have an evening of live entertainment, where you’ll be able to meet with the Warcraft developers, and take part in other unannounced activities.

These aren’t going to be massive events, so they’re likely to run out of tickets quickly. There’s a Tixr link where fans can snag tickets, but none of them are available just yet. If you’re interested in taking part, you can find the dates and cities below:

London, England: February 22, 2025
Seoul, South Korea: March 8, 2025
Toronto, Ontario, Canada: March 15, 2025
Sydney, Australia: April 3, 2025
São Paulo, Brazil: April 19, 2025
Boston, Massachusetts: May 10, 2025

Perhaps the most interesting of all of these is the Boston event; this one takes place during Pax East, 2025, so it will likely be directly connected to the convention itself. It’s unknown if the other events in the 30th anniversary event will be connected to specific conventions, but it sounds like a must-attend for World of Warcraft fans.

From chats with developers to unique events and perhaps even announcements, fans of Hearthstone, World of Warcraft, Warcraft Rumble, and the original trilogy that started it all won’t want to miss out on these small, intimate events.

It all begins in London, England, on February 22, 2025 for fans of World of Warcraft and beyond. As the 20th Anniversary events end in WoW, a whole new celebration begins with these in-person events.
