There are plenty of new Epics that drop off of Molten Core bosses in WoW Classic SoD (Image via Blizzard Entertainment)
Molten Core features brand-new Epics in WoW Classic SoD Phase 4. While these drops aren’t guaranteed from all the bosses, they should drop fairly frequently for raid groups. The new equipment feels in tune with the original raid, matching the lore flavor of the game at the time. These new Epics also cover some solid slots for players who need new necklaces, or perhaps fist weapons.

It’s likely that the new hidden boss in WoW Classic SoD, the Molten Core could drop these Epics too. After all, it drops loot from all across the Molten Core loot table - though you do have to fight it on Heat Level 3.
There could be other Epics hiding in the dungeon. If they’re discovered, we’ll update accordingly.
Where do the new epics drop in WoW Classic SoD’s Molten Core?
Molten Core has quite a few new items - sorry spellcasters, you're out of luck right now (Image via Blizzard Entertainment)
At this time, there are nine new Epics scattered across Molten Core in WoW Classic SoD Phase 4. This gear appears to be focused primarily on melee players, with plenty of maces, fist weapons, as well as some plate and leather armor. The great thing about these new Epics is that not only do they fit lore-wise, but they also drop off several bosses in most cases.

That means you won’t be out of luck if, say, you’re trying to get Wristguards of Instability (Plate Wrist). This incredible DPS piece is available on four bosses, so you have multiple chances to get it - Lucifron, Gehennas, Shazzrah, and Sulfuron Harbinger.
The table below shows every piece of gear available, alongside what it does and where to find it. The table doesn’t show the reworked tier sets, though, as those come in Loot Tokens. It only features brand-new gear that has never been in Molten Core before.

The fist weapon Magmadar’s Right Claw is supposed to be in this patch as well, though we have not seen where it drops yet. It’s been said to be a Ragnaros drop. As we learn more, we’ll update accordingly. If you want the best chance possible at this loot, you should play on some of the higher difficulty levels. The Classic-era servers introduced a difficulty slider to Molten Core, in the form of Heat Levels.

If you want the most Epics in WoW Classic SoD's Molten Core, then make sure your raid group is choosing the hardest of the three Heat Levels: Molten. It doesn’t increase the level of the gear, only the amount. In addition, you should definitely try to defeat the Molten Core hidden boss - it drops Epics from all across the raid’s loot table.
