Cassandra’s Tome is a Priest-exclusive trinket in WoW Classic SoD Phase 5. Each class will likely have a powerful trinket that you can unlock, each with its own class quest. However, at this time, only the Priest trinket has been uncovered. It requires some grinding, as well as hunting Runes down in the world and taking them to their appropriate books. It could take a great deal of effort and work to get this trinket, but it’s worth it.

Having the Priest trinket Cassandra’s Tome in WoW Classic SoD Phase 5 grants you bonus Shadow damage, bonus healing, and a cooldown that grants a 100% critical strike chance for your next non-periodic spell. That could be massive going forward for all Priest players.

How to unlock Priest trinket Cassandra’s Tome in WoW Classic SoD Phase 5

To begin the WoW Classic SoD Phase 5 quest to get the Priest Trinket Cassandra’s Tome, you need to loot Tarnished Bronze Scale from Chromaggus in Blackwing Lair. This is not a guaranteed drop, so it could take a few weeks to even get started with this quest. Once you do, equip it and head to Tanaris. Once there, you can use this trinket to transport you to a place outside of time.

All this does is set up the quest for you. You’ll see a Dragon in a cave, with 5 pedestals. Speak with the dragon, and they’ll invite you to look at his books. You can’t do anything further, but this sets up your ability to take part and unlock Cassandra’s Tome for Priests in WoW Classic SoD Phase 5.

Now you need Runes! These come in the form of Grimy Runes, and they drop off of any enemy level 55+. However, instanced dungeons appear to have a higher drop rate, so doing 55+ dungeons appears to be the way to go. The drop chance isn’t high, but once you have one, interact with it to clean it off.

However, you can only hold one “old Rune” at a time. Once you’ve found one, you need to take it back to the Dragon and use it on the correct book. You also need to be wearing the trinket to see the Runes drop at all. If you pick the wrong book/rune combo, you’ll also have to fight a monster.

Rune of Suffering: The Winter Queen’s Forest
Rune of Surging Light: Lost Tribe of Nazmi
Rune of the Eye: The Shattering

You need to collect and return 5 of these Runes to the Dragon’s books. Once you’ve done that, you’ll receive a quest, and completing it will give you the Priest trinket Cassandra’s Tome for WoW Classic SoD Phase 5. Unfortunately, it’s a quest that has a lot of RNG attached, so it may take a while to finish, but it’s worth the effort.
