Yakumo in Palworld: Where to find, partner skill, item drops, and more

Yakumo is going to prove to be one of Palworld’s most popular pals in the latest Sakurajima update. A powerful Neutral-type dog, it’s known to have a strong sense of justice and to despise evil. They’re relatively easy to find on the map and have a particular ability that will make them incredibly helpful when trying to find other Pals to breed later in your adventure.

Added in the Sakurajima update, you can find this particular Pal day and night in the same general location on the map. If you’re looking for a solid combat pal, who can also help lead you to useful breeding partners, Yakumo is going to be a delight. Here’s what you need to know.

You can find Yakumo in Palworld, day and night in the circled location on the Sakurajima map. They tend to spawn here in groups, so it shouldn’t be too hard to find one. He’s not the most powerful fighter, but he’s useful to have around.

In addition, you can also find him in the dungeons of Sakurajima Island, as an Alpha Pal. You can find the locations on the map above as well. He can be found in the dungeons in day and night time equally as well. If there’s a greater chance of either one, that information has not been uncovered yet.

Yakumo in Palworld - stats and useful information

• Element Type: Neutral
• Paldeck Entry: It has a strong sense of justice and despises evil. In the past, they were faithful and loving companions to the islanders. Nowadays, GuardianDogs are hostile to humans wherever they spot them.

Partner Skill: Birds of a Feather

Here’s what makes Yakumo such a great pick: Birds of a Feather. While yes, he can be ridden around, he’s not that particularly fast as far as ground Pals go. However, while fighting together, he makes it easier to encounter pals with the same passive skill as this one.

That means you can pick up other types of Pals with Birds of a Feather easier and so you can potentially find way more suitable breeding partners for your various Pals.

Unfortunately, Yakumo's item drop isn't especially rare, so it's not a Pal that's going to be worth grinding on. All it drops is one item:

While Yakumo isn’t especially powerful or fast, it serves a useful purpose on your team. This is the Pal you bring when you’re trying to seek out other Birds of a Feather users, to pick up more breeding partners. That said, it does also have a very cool look and could be useful in the future for other reasons.
