Austin Cindric entered NASCAR’s highest level, the Cup Series with a bang. He won the 2022 Rookie Driver of the Year. He competes for one of the richest teams in the sport, Team Penske. Austin Cindric drives the no. 2 Ford Mustang Dark Horse for Team Penske. He has raced in many series prior to his entry in NASCAR. Cindric was a competitor in the Road to Indy class, Supercars and RallyCross Championships. He made his debut in the 2022 NASCAR season. He finished third in truck series standings in 2017 and moved forward to Xfinity Series where he achieved great results before moving onto the upper echelons of NASCAR.

Austin Cindric is a native of Columbus, Ohio and he was born on September 2nd, 1998. He is the youngest driver to compete in the Bathurst 12 Hour race. He was merely 17 years old, and he finished seventh in his class and 21st overall. He won the CTSCC race at the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park becoming the youngest winner at the age of 17. He made his NASCAR debut through the Craftsman Truck Series in 2015 while racing for Brad Keselowski Racing.

To win a race in the first season of your NASCAR career is one thing, but to win the first race of your rookie full-time season in NASCAR is a completely different thing. Cindric might have only one race win under his belt but he has won one of the most important races in NASCAR. Austin Cindric was the winner of the 2022 Daytona 500. It was his first race as a Rookie driver yet he never let his nerves get the better of him.

Cindric only has three years of racing experience in NASCAR yet he has managed to achieve what many veterans were unable to. The race marked the debut of the Next-Gen car in NASCAR and Cindric held off his teammate Ryan Blaney for the win, leading the final 21 out of 45 laps under green-white chequered flag conditions. Austin Cindric was the winner of the 2020 Xfinity Series championship.

Austin Cindric Top-10s

Austin Cindric has competed in 79 races throughout his career, achieving 79 Top-10s and one pole position. He claimed his first Top-10 at the 2021 Verizon 200 at the Brickyard during his time at Team Penske as a part-time driver. He went on to achieve eight more Top-10 finishes in his Rookie season claiming 12th position in the Driver’s Standings.

Cindric has achieved one Top-10 finish in the 2024 Cup Series season claiming fourth position at the AmbetterHealth 400. Cindric has 89 Top-10 finishes in the Xfinity Series out of the 133 races he participated in. He has 16 top10s in Craftsman Truck series which he achieved in 2017, claiming a third place finish in the drivers championship.
