Carl Edwards is not only a retired racing driver of NASCAR. He is an iconic sporting icon who is remembered for his racing talents and antiques throughout the NASCAR community. The iconic backflip after a race win earned him the attention of the crowd.

He was included in the list of 75 Greatest Drivers of NASCAR in 2023. Edwards was a popular driver in and out of the NASCAR track. He has appeared on television many times as part of endorsement deals or on shows. Edwards has also been a guest host on the entertainment show, WWE RAW.

Carl Edwards was born in Columbia, Missouri in the United States. He is 44 years old as of March 2024. Edwards started racing in 2004 as a part-time driver moving up to a full-time contract in 2005 with Roush Fenway Racing. In the last leg of his career he made a switch to Joe Gibbs Racing, working with them for two years before he ultimately retired in 2016.

He has managed to stay in the Top-10 a total of 220 times in his career of 445 races over the 13 years he raced in NASCAR. Edwards has clinched 22 pole positions. Carl Edwards’s first Top-10 finish came at his very first race in NASCAR at Michigan.

He drove for Roush Racing and placed 10th in the driver standings. He had 18 Top-10 finishes in his best season in 2008. Edwards stayed in the Top-5s for most of the races in the season and claimed a second place finish in the Driver’s Championship. He was the runner up of the 2016 Hollywood Casino 400 which was his last top-10 finish in NASCAR Cup Series.
