Jimmie Johnson is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes part-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 84 Toyota Camry XSE for his team, Legacy Motor Club. Described as one of the greatest drivers in NASCAR history, Johnson is a racing icon, who etched his name into the sport's record books.

Johnson began his NASCAR career in 1998, making select starts in the Xfinity Series. He then ran 2 full Xfinity campaigns, in 2000 & 2001, prior to making his Cup Series debut in 2001 for Hendrick Motorsports as a part-time driver.

Johnson was then promoted to a full-time Cup ride in 2002 at the age of 26. Johnson showed his talent early on, winning his first Cup race in 2002 and making the playoffs in 2004. Johnson retired from racing full-time in the Cup Series post the 2020 season. He then pivoted to racing in other series, such as IMSA and Indycar - running 2 full seasons in 2021-2022 in the latter series. Johnson also piloted the NASCAR Garage 56 Camaro at the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans. He now owns a stake in the Legacy Motor Club team, which competes in the NASCAR Cup Series.

He then proceeded to win at least two races in every season in the 2002 to 2017 period - only going winless in his final three full time campaigns in the Cup Series. His highest win total came in 2007, when he won a staggering 10 races, of which four were won back to back to back to back.Johnson’s 83 wins has tied with fellow NASCAR legend Cale Yarborough at the 6th position in the all-time Cup Series wins leaderboard, with him being only one win shy of 4th position, which is jointly shared by legends Bobby Allison and Darell Waltrip.
