For Josh Berry his career’s trajectory changed when he met Dale Earnhardt Jr. in 2008. This was during DMP Online Racing, an online sim racing league. From there the duo was able to form an unformidable bond resulting in Berry being signed to JR Motorsports. Berry started his career in late-model racing in 2010.

Throughout his late model racing career from 2010 to 2023, he became the driver with the most wins in the CARS Tour. He then became a competitor in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2014 when participated in the 2014 U.S. Cellular 250 in Iowa, finishing 14th. His best finish in Xfinity came in 2022 when he finished 4th in the standings with 33 starts.

Berry also had his first race start in the Cup Series at the 2021 Drydene 400. He finally became a full-time driver in the Cup Series in 2024. He replaced the now-retired Kevin Harvick, racing for Stewart-Haas Racing.

Josh Berry is yet to win a race in the NASCAR Cup Series. The 2024 season marks his first full season in the series. He is 28th in the standings with 10 races under his belt for the season. His best result in the series came in 2023 when he raced part-time for Hendricks Motorsports for seven races when he got one Top-5 and two Top-10 results.

During his Xfinity Series stint, he was able to get 5 race wins with the first win coming at the 2021 Cook Out 250. All of his six wins were for the team, JR Motorsports. His last win in the series was in 2022 when he came home to win the 2022 Alsco Uniforms 302 for the second time. He was also able to get 52 Top-10 and four pole positions throughout his career.
