Kenny Wallace touched upon his recent cruise experience and going by his words, it was far from ideal. Taking to his official X account, the former NASCAR driver 'whined' about how his vacation on the cruise was a nightmare, and revealed how his wife, Kim, gave him a reality check.
Wallace, who has a net worth of $9 million (as per Celebrity Net Worth) took to his official X account on Friday to share his latest experience of going on a vacation with his family. He set for a vacation on the cruise ship, and faced an experience he did not expect.
From having airport delays to being seasick, and tired, the former NASCAR star faced it all, all with his old, aged family members, including his wife, Kim. As he returned from the vacation, he called his friend Joe Rudy, and began to 'whine' about how his tour went, and this was when Mrs. Wallace stormed out of her bedroom to give her husband a reality check.
"On Monday, my buddy Joe Rudy calls me up and it's seven in the morning, and I'm b**ching, and I'm whining like a little baby, sitting right here," Wallace said. "And I'm whining and I'm crying to Joe Rudy, and my wife, the love of my life, she's awesome, she comes flying out of that bedroom and chews my ass out."
"She said, 'you sound like a whiney old b***hy man, you baby'. Kim starts calling me a baby and goes wee, little baby. She made me laugh so much, I said Thank God I got you to straighten my ass out," he added. (7:26-8:15)
Notably, Kenny Wallace and the company faced immense delays on their way back to St. Louis from Miami. Wallace, along with his group, had to wait for nearly four to five hours at the airport, as they could not check in with their luggage.
Finally, they got on the airplane, and returned home, but not without getting sick. Wallace did not feel good after returning and caught a cold and runny nose. In a nutshell, Kenny Wallace's vacation on the cruise was far from ideal.
Kenny Wallace explained why people go on vacation
In the same video on X, Kenny Wallace explained why people go on vacation. Recalling his old conversation with the late American racing driver Dick Trickle, Wallace explained how the latter once told him why people go on vacation.
Here's what Trickle told Wallace during one of their conversations:
"I think of Dick Trickle every single time I go on vacation," Wallace said. "Dick Trickle would say, 'my boy, you know why we go on vacation?' And I'm like 'no Dick, why do we go on vacation?' He said, 'so we can go back home.'" (1:30-1:48)
Wallace then went on to explain how Trickle's words made sense, as one would think about how they miss their everyday routine, their bed, their favorite restaurant, their favorite iced tea, and many more.
Kenny Wallace is a 61-year-old former NASCAR Cup Series driver who participated in 344 races in over 18 years, where he racked up three pole positions and 27 Top 10s. Wallace's final race in the Cup Series was the 2008 AMP Energy 500 at Talladega.
