Trackhouse Racing driver Daniel Suarez is engaged to Julia Piquet, daughter of racing icon Nelson Piquet. The couple is set to tie the knot on Tuesday, July 30th, 2024.
Piquet and Suarez started dating back in 2019, and three years later, in November 2022, the couple announced their engagement. Piquet recently uploaded a story on Instagram, sharing a picture with Daniel Suarez, and expressing her excitement for their upcoming nuptials. She wrote:
"Can't wait to marry you"
Originally from Brazil, Julia Piquet is very well acquainted with the lifestyle of a professional race car driver. She is the daughter of 3x Formula One world champion and racing icon, Nelson Piquet. Despite being born into motorsport royalty, Julia Piquet had other plans for her future. She is a certified health coach who got her certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Her specialty lies in Integrative Nutrition while she also focuses on holistic health. She shares her journey as a health coach on her Instagram page, @juliascoaching.
Interestingly, Piquet and Suarez met each other through the former's brother, Nelson Piquet Jr. The Mexican (now a dual citizenship holder) moved to the United States to fulfill his dream of making it big in NASCAR. Over time, he got to know Nelson Piquet Jr. and the two eventually became close friends. The former F1 driver introduced Suarez to his sister, and they hit it off soon after.
Suarez is a former Xfinity Series champion. He's in his eighth season in the NASCAR Cup Series and drives full-time for Trackhouse Racing's #99 Chevrolet. He currently stands in 18th place in the driver standings for the 2024 season, with 352 points, 2 top-five finishes, and 3 top-ten finishes. He also has a Cup Series race win at Atlanta Motor Speedway on February 25th, 2024.
