Christopher Bell's wife Morgan Bell recently shared an update on her husband's latest venture in the POWRi National Midget League. Bell wrapped up his full-time NASCAR Cup Series obligation for this year by racing in the season-ending Championship race at Phoenix.
With the conclusion of the 2024 season, the Norman-born driver completed his fifth year in the premier stock car racing. He is all set to continue his full-time racing with Joe Gibbs Racing alongside Denny Hamlin, Ty Gibbs and Chase Briscoe next season.
As Bell was done with Cup Series races this season, he decided to venture out and use his time to the maximum by participating in multiple dirt racing series such as the POWRi National Midget Racing and Chili Bowl Nationals.
The #20 Cup Series driver will drive this Saturday inside the Southern Illinois Center for the Jr. Knepper 55 at the POWRi National Midget Racing. Sharing an update on this, his wife, Morgan Bell, uploaded a video as Bell made last-minute changes to his dirt car.
Here's a screengrab of the video from Mrs. Bell's official Instagram account:
Christopher Bell finished the 2024 season in fifth place with 2412 points. He barely missed out on the Championship 4 after trying out an over-ambitious wall riding move at Martinsville and was disqualified by NASCAR as the move was banned earlier.
The JGR driver claimed three victories, three pole positions, 15 Top 5s, and 23 Top 10s. He led 1145 laps and faced six DNFs. Bell's average start position was 11.222 and his average finish position was 12.806, making him one of the most consistent drivers throughout the season.
Christopher Bell is set to take part in Chili Bowl Nationals
Christopher Bell recently confirmed that he will take part in next year's Chili Bowl Nationals set to take place in Tulsa, Oklahoma, from January 13 to 18. Bell returns to the event after a couple of years' hiatus due to Joe Gibbs Racing's restrictions.
However, JGR recently lifted the restrictions on their drivers. Bell retweeted Chase Briscoe's post on X, where his new teammate revealed his Chili Bowl Nationals entry. Here's what Briscoe wrote:
"Guess I’ll finally get him back for this, pumped to see back at this year."
Briscoe wrote in reply:
"See you guys at @cbnationals! But first, gotta get some seat time with @POWRi_Racing this weekend."
Bell is a multiple-time Chili Bowl Nationals champion, an event known as the Super Bowl of Midget Racing. Besides him, fellow NASCAR drivers Kyle Larson, Kyle Busch, Chase Briscoe, J.J. Yeley, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and Ty Gibbs will take part in the event.
