There were someheated confrontation following Sunday’s All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway between Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Kyle Busch. During the brawl between the two, Stenhouse Jr. vowed to take revenge on Busch during NASCAR’s marquee event, the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend.

During the second lap of the All-Star Race, Busch knocked Stenhouse Jr. into the outside wall in retaliation for contact on the first lap at the 0.625-mile-long track. The wreck damaged his #47 JTG Daugherty Racing Chevy car and frustrated Stenhouse Jr. parked his wrecked car in Busch’s pit stall.

After the race, Stenhouse Jr. and Busch engaged in a heated argument, and then Stenhouse Jr. threw a punch at the driver of the #8 RCR Chevrolet, and a brawl erupted that involved members of both teams - and Stenhouse’s father.

The fight was eventually broken up, but not the war of words. A better angle of Stenhouse and Busch beef was released by NASCAR, where the 2023 Daytona 500 winner yelled:

“I’m going to wreck you at Charlotte.”
“Bring it. I don’t give a f***. I suck just as bad as you. Let’s go,” Busch replied.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. ended up finishing 20th in the 20-driver field due to an early wreck, while Busch finished P10. Team Penske driver Joey Logano put in a dominating show, leading all but one of 200 laps en route to an All-Star Race win at North Wilkesboro.

“I’m not sure why he was so mad” – Ricky Stenhouse Jr. after throwing punches at Kyle Larson

The JTG Daugherty Racing driver expressed confusion over Busch’s anger following their brawl and on-track incident. Speaking to FOX Sports’ reporter about his move over Busch, the #47 wheelman said he made a bold three-wide move; the #8 driver had hit the wall and then collided with him.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr., who has been going through a tough season, admitted that he had a strong car in practice and his chance for a good race was ruined by Busch’s move.

“I’m not sure why he was so mad – yeah, I shoved it three-wide, but he hit the fence, kind of came off the fence and ran into me. When I was talking to him, he kept saying that I wrecked him,” Stenhouse Jr. said.
“We’re a single car team that’s working really hard to get better each and every weekend. Our car was really strong in practice, and I was looking forward to running to the front. I was excited about the rest of the night, and he ruined it.”

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. stands 26th, 10 spots behind the cutoff line, while Kyle Busch sits 13th in the Cup Series points table.
