Brickyard 400 marks the 22nd race of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. The green flag will drop at 2:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 21, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The 2.5-mile-long rectangular-shaped oval track comprises 9.2 degrees of banking in turns and zero degrees of banking straightaways. Indianapolis Motor Speedway hosts the IndyCar Series, the IMSA SportsCar Championship and NASCAR’s two national series, the Cup and Xfinity Series.
A total of 39 drivers will contest over 160 laps in this week’s Cup Series race. This will be the 31st annual event hosted by the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Cup Series.
Heading to Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin is the favorite, per odds table, at 4-1, to win the Brickyard 400 this week, according to NASCAR.com. Hamlin has three wins this season.
Hendrick Motorsports Kyle Larson has the second highest odds, at 6-1, to win on Sunday. They are followed by defending NASCAR Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney at 15-2, Brad Keselowski at 15-2, Chase Elliott at 9-1 and William Byron at 10-1 in the top five odds.
Michael McDowell, the defending winner at Indianapolis, is coming this weekend with the 17th highest odds at 100-1.
