After an action-packed Goodyear 400, the 2024 NASCAR season arrives at the North Wilkesboro Speedway in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, for the All-Star Race. The season’s second exhibition race will go live on FS1 and MRN at 8 pm ET on Sunday, May 19.
The event will be contested on a 0.625-mile-long oval track. A total of 20 drivers will compete over 200 laps to seal a chance at driving down victory lane and to earn a cash prize of $1 million on Sunday. FOX Sports journalist Bob Pockrass tweeted the starting lineup for the 2024 All-Star Race.
Who is on pole for the All-Star Race?
In Saturday (May 18)'s Cup Series qualifying, former Cup champion Joey Logano secured the pole for the All-Star Race with a total time of 89.754 (75.206 mph).
Due to severe weather, Saturday’s scheduled two All-Star heat races were cancelled, and the main event starting lineup will be set as per the results of time trial qualifying.
Last week’s winner Brad Keselowski will share the front row with Logano. He will be followed by Christopher Bell, Daniel Suarez and Chris Buescher in the top-five. Tyler Reddick, Ross Chastain, Martin Truex Jr., Michael McDowell and A. J. Allmendinger complete the top-10.
Kevin Harvick, who got behind the wheel of the #5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet in the absence of Kyle Larson, qualified 12th, but Larson will have to start from the rear of the field for Sunday’s main event, as per the NASCAR rulebook.
Seventeen of the 20 drivers are already locked in, and three spots remain up for grabs. The top two finishers from Sunday’s All-Star Open and the fan vote winner will advance to the All-Star Race.
