On Thursday, the Brad Keselowski-co-owned Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing announced that Mohawk Northeast will sponsor Ryan Preece in the 2025 Cup Series season. According to reports, the heavy civil contractor will sponsor Preece's #60 Ford Mustang Dark Horse for three races next season.

Preece signed up to race for RFK Racing after his previous team, Stewart-Haas Racing disbanded at the end of the 2024 season. Earlier this year, Tony Stewart, the co-owner of SHR, decided to withdraw from the sport, jeopardizing the team. SHR's other co-owner Gene Haas rebranded it as Haas Factory Team. However, it kept only one charter out of four and hired Cole Custer to race for it in 2025, leaving out the other drivers.

After Preece was without a seat for the 2025 season, on November 19, 2024, RFK announced the Connecticut-born driver's signing under full-time obligation for the next season. Mohawk Northeast, Preece's long-time sponsor and subsidiary of Mohawk Industries valued at $7 billion (as per Forbes), returned to support him at RFK. He said (via Jayski):

“It’s so exciting to have Mohawk with RFK in 2025 to continue building the relationship we’ve had for the past 10-plus years. They’ve been supporting me since the beginning and I’m looking forward to accomplishing our goals together with their support.”

The Connecticut-based Mohawk Northeast specializes in construction and offers a fleet of barges, cranes, offshore tugboats, and other heavy equipment. It operates in highways, railroads, bridges, and marine construction. It will sponsor Ryan Preece's #60 Ford Mustang Dark Horse at Iowa Speedway on August 3, Watkins Glen on August 10, and New Hampshire Motor Speedway on September 21.

After his topsy-turvy Stewart-Haas outing in NASCAR, Ryan Preece is all set to join Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing next season. Before his journey with the Brad Keselowski-co-owned team, Preece shared his excitement about joining the Concord-based team in the Cup Series.

"So having the opportunity to come over, be teammates with Chris again, someone who I enjoy being around with a lot of times, and someone that I actually from a teammate perspective, I can depend on, just like he can depend on me, and then obviously, being able to lean on Brad, the knowledge that he has, as well as what he's been able to do as a leader for RFK, is very impressive," Ryan Preece said.
"It started with a phone call actually. I remember walking into SHR's building and I saw Brad was calling. That ended up being a conversation of there maybe an opportunity of where we're gonna be expanding to three cars, 'Would you, would you like to come drive for us?'"

Besides Preece, Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing will also field the #6 and #17 Ford Mustang Dark Horses for Keselowski and Chris Buescher, respectively.
