Ricky Stenhouse Jr. expressed his desire for a charity match against Kyle Busch after the duo got into a brawl after the NASCAR All-Star Race at the North Wilkesboro Speedway. The 20-car battle just got underway when heavy damage to the JTG Daugherty Racing driver's car resulted in a premature exit.
Team Penske driver Joey Logano dominated the 200-lap adrenaline-packed run to clinch his maiden win this season. However, moments after the All-Star race kicked off, Kyle Busch got into the wall on the backstretch and presumed it to be Stenhouse Jr.'s fault.
In a bid to retaliate, the #8 Chevy rammed into the former's #47 Ford rear bumper, sending the high-octane ride into the wall and bringing the first caution.
The early exit enraged Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and after the Richard Childress Racing driver finished his NWS run in tenth place, a heated altercation between the drivers ensued.
Shortly after the situation cooled off, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. spoke to Fox reporter Jamie Little, expressing his interest in having a charity match against 'Rowdy' Busch.
The JTG driver said:
"I don't have anything else for him [Kyle Busch]. If he want to do a charity match, I would do that, for you know, race some money, for NASCAR foundation or something that would be fun, but really other than that I don't have a whole lot for him." (1.30)
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. throws a slew of punches at Kyle Busch after All-Star setback
Kyle Busch's hard hit on Ricky Stenhouse Jr.'s ride sent it drifting onto the outside wall. The wreck with the barriers damaged the only car of JTG Daugherty Racing on the track and the #47 driver was not happy with that.
Stenhouse Jr. aimed for his fourth NASCAR win and first this season, but to no avail, courtesy of Busch's wreck into the former's bumper. Disappointed by the incident, Stenhouse Jr. highlighted his rage by initially parking his car on Kyle's pit box and climbing to where the latter's crew was stationed.
He expressed his displeasure to RCR crew members and waited eagerly for the #8 Chevy driver to wind up his 200-lap run for a post-race talk.
The scuffle between the drivers started with a heated argument, and shortly after that, Stenhouse Jr. pounced on Busch and lashed a few punches. However, before the brawl erupted further, the RCR driver's retaliation was blocked by the JTG crew.
