Tara Allmendinger has provided an update on her family amid the devastating Hurricane Helene that has affected western North Carolina. She is married to veteran NASCAR driver, AJ Allmendinger.
Kaulig Racing driver Allmendinger exchanged vows with Tara in December 2019 in Catawba, North Carolina. The couple also has a son named Aero James Allmendinger. Tara, an influencer and entrepreneur, rose to fame for participating in the Mrs. America pageant and winning the Mrs. North Carolina title in 2021.
In an Instagram story posted on October 2, Tara shared a safety update on the Allmendinger family in Denver, North Carolina, and talked about helping in the recovery efforts.
"Hey everybody! We are all good here in Denver, North Carolina. Thanks for checking on us. We didn't have internet for a while. We lost power for just a little bit very fortunate, really, honestly, all the works that we have here, just some branches down some trees and in my yard, some sticks and branches. Very, very, very, very fortunate. But our friends in the West, not so fortunate."
She also talked about providing baby formula for the infants in her Instagram story.
"So we're gonna get some supplies together tomorrow. Got a bunch of breast milk. I think I have found a place that's taking breast milk. I know they can use baby formula, but if anybody's kids like my kid, my kid did not do well on formula. So hopefully that'll work out. But we're praying for everybody," Tara said.
Furthermore, she added:
"What a surprise that was. I never would have thought that, hey, a hurricane coming to hit possibly Tampa, maybe Tallahassee, Nashville, North Carolina. Just unreal," she added.
2-time Xfinity regular-season champion's wife also shared a heartwarming post with the caption:
"Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those affected by hurricane Helene. As I continue to comprehend the impact of this tragedy and find ways to help, I want to share that our hearts are with you. Don’t lose your faith. ❤️ "
