Legacy Motor Club driver Erik Jones shared the highlights of the philanthropic work he did in 2024 through his Foundation as he wrapped the season up. The Foundation donated a book vending machine alongside other work, including a cancer screening.

The Erik Jones Foundation (EJF) was established in 2021 and Jones has been working hard with it. He holds up various programs that cover multiple areas of impact. These include Cancer, Literacy, and Animal Welfare. EJF has been instrumental in these three areas which was quite evident this year.

As the year comes to an end, Jones shared a highlight of the notable work he achieved with the Foundation. He wrote on social media:

"What a year it's been for the @ErikJonesFdn. We donated 1 book vending machine, hosted @thesunbus_us for mobile skin cancer screenings during two race weekends this season, hosted our annual Clays for Causes and 3 Reasons to Race Fundraisers, continued the #WindowOfHope Program, and were named Comcast Community Champion of the Year."

Along with the free cancer screenings he held at two race weekends in the NASCAR Cup Series season, Erik Jones continued the Window of Hope program for the fourth year running. This is held every year in October when NASCAR heads to Charlotte Motor Speedway. The drivers are provided with pink window nets on their cars which are then autographed by them and auctioned off post-race.

The funds raised from this auction are donated to cancer research. The Foundation has raised hundreds of thousands of Dollars with this initiative in four years.

Cancer has been a sensitive part of the 28-year-old's life as he lost his father to melanoma in June 2016. Jones' mother, too, battled breast cancer twice in her life in 2013 and 2019. She is now cancer-free.

Erik Jones won the 2024 Comcast Community Champion of The Year Award

The Comcast Community Champion of The Year is awarded to individuals in NASCAR who also excel in their social work. The award is accompanied by monetary aid for the foundations as well, which not only helps them financially, but the award also increases awareness about the need for social work.

Erik Jones was chosen for the award in 2024, adding to his spectacular highlights. His Foundation received $60,000 as part of the same.

"So proud of the foundation team tonight. This is a huge honor and testament of the work put forth to the causes I truly care about! Thank you to Comcast for the recognition and to all who have supported us," Jones wrote on social media.

Individuals like Erik Jones are some of the NASCAR drivers who are focused on giving back to their community. Other drivers like Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson, and Joey Logano also run foundations and contribute their part.
