Professional Wrestling Career
Early Years (2003-2006)
Before becoming well-known on the independent wrestling circuit, Ricochet began his professional wrestling career in 2003 with Chaos Pro Wrestling. He wrestled in high-profile elimination matches in 2006, including one at the Sacrifice event of Insanity Pro Wrestling. Chuck Taylor was the last competitor to be eliminated. He competed in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match that same year for a chance to win the Light Heavyweight Championship. Despite losing to Darin Corbin in the end, his signature double rotation moonsault off a ladder was successful.
Chikara (2006-2010)
In Chikara, Ricochet made his debut, competing in the Young Lions Cup but losing to longtime rival Chuck Taylor. He won his first match with Mike Quackenbush and Cloudy after several defeats. Later, he returned in the disguise of Helios and defeated Taylor to win the Young Lions Cup.
Helios lost the title after successfully defending it against Hydra and Fire Ant. He then teamed up with Lince Dorado and Equinox to form The Future is Now. He competed with groups like The UnStable and The Osirian Portal. After failing to win the tag team championship in 2010, he left Chikara for Dragon Gate and Dragon Gate USA.
Evolve and Dragon Gate USA (2010-2017)
Ricochet made his debut in Evolve by defeating Arik Cannon, but he soon suffered defeats against Chuck Taylor and Johnny Gargano. His journey with Dragon Gate USA began with a defeat in a four-way match before he joined Cima's Warriors International and won a tag team match against Speed Muscle. Ricochet and Naruki Doi competed in the Open the United Gate Championship tournament as Blood Warriors, but they came up short.
In a subsequent high-stakes match against Pac and Masato Yoshino, he and Cima won the titles. Ricochet and Yoshino teamed up to reclaim the Open the United Gate Championship, only to lose it shortly thereafter. His time with Dragon Gate USA reached its zenith in 2014 when he defeated Johnny Gargano to win the Open the Freedom Gate Championship. However, Gargano later regained the title during a tour in China.
PWG (2010-2018)
In 2010, Ricochet made his Pro Wrestling Guerrilla debut. Despite losing to Claudio Castagnoli in the Battle of Los Angeles tournament, Ricochet gave a great performance. He won his first match against El Generico later, but he struggled in tag team competition, including an unsuccessful attempt to defend the PWG World Tag Team Championship with Generico. Ricochet and Rich Swann, who formed the Inner City Machine Guns in 2013, attempted to win the tag team title multiple times, but each time they failed.
His biggest singles win came when he won the Battle of Los Angeles in 2014. He qualified for the PWG World Championship, but Kyle O'Reilly ultimately defeated him. In 2017, Ricochet made history by defeating Chuck Taylor to win the PWG World Championship and becoming the first wrestler to win the Battle of Los Angeles twice. In a brutal Guerrilla Warfare match in 2018, he lost the title to Taylor, ending his PWG reign.
Dragon Gate (2010–2015, 2017)
Ricochet's journey in Dragon Gate began in 2010 when he won the Open the Triangle Gate Championship alongside Cima and Dragon Kid. He joined Blood Warriors the following year, but he soon got into a fight with Pac. He tried to compete against Pac for the Open the Brave Gate Championship, but lost. However, Ricochet eventually dethroned Pac to win the Open the Brave Gate Championship after winning the Open the Twin Gate Championship with Cima.
He joined World-1 International after being kicked out of Blood Warriors in 2012, but Dragon Kid won the Brave Gate title. He won the prestigious King of Gate tournament in 2013, which qualified him for the Open the Dream Gate Championship, but he lost to Cima. Ricochet became the first foreigner to win the Open the Dream Gate Championship the following year, but he lost it after a brief reign. After his final victory over Eita in 2017 and his departure from the promotion, his Dragon Gate career came to an end.
NJPW (2013-2017)
In 2014, Ricochet made his NJPW debut. At The New Beginning event, Ricochet and Matt Sydal defeated The Young Bucks and reDRagon to become the new IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions. After losing the title, Ricochet, Sydal, and Kojima challenged The Elite for the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championship and won. They were stripped of the titles due to Sydal's travel issues.
Ricochet formed a new tag team named "Funky Future" with Ryusuke Taguchi under the banner of Taguchi Japan. They defeated The Young Bucks to win the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship. At the King of Pro-Wrestling event, they lost the title to Roppongi 3K.
Luch Underground (2014-2017)
Ricochet took part in the first three seasons of Lucha Underground. He was crowned as the inaugural champion under the name Prince Puma. He eventually lost the title to Mil Muertes. In season 3, he challenged Johnny Mundo and won the title. After the match, he was challenged by Pentagon Zero, and if he lost, he would retire immediately from Lucha Underground. Ricochet lost and was taken off television.

In 2022, Ricochet defeated Sami Zayn with the help of Johnny Knoxville to become the Intercontinental Champion. On SmackDown, Ricochet defeated Angel and Humberto. He would go on to lose the title to Gunther after 98 days.
Despite winning the SmackDown World Cup, Ricochet was unable to defeat Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship. He and Braun Strowman put together a tag team and got a shot at the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship, but they didn't win. Later, he fought with Logan Paul, which led to a controversial defeat at SummerSlam. In 2024, Ricochet became the first Speed Champion, but after 42 days, he lost the title. He informed WWE of his departure following an attack by Bron Breakker.
On the 30th August episode of NXT, Ricochet challenged Carmelo Hayes for his NXT North American Championship, setting up a match at Worlds Collide. Ricochet failed to win the title after a close contest at the event. On the 2nd December episode of SmackDown, Ricochet defeated Santos Escobar to win the SmackDown World Cup, earning the chance to face Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship. However, he failed to capitalize on the opportunity.
Ricochet would then take part in a few feuds alongside Braun Strowman. The two were drafted to Monday Night RAW at the 2023 WWE draft. A few weeks later, he defeated The Miz to earn his Men's Money in the Bank ladder match ticket.
AEW (2024-present)
In 2024, Ricochet made his AEW debut at All In, competing in the Casino Gauntlet match but not winning. At WrestleDream and Full Gear, he unsuccessfully competed for the AEW International Championship, and he soon found himself in a rivalry with Konosuke Takeshita. Later that year, he competed in the Continental Classic, where he lost to Kazuchika Okada.
Ricochet's feud with Swerve Strickland began as a result of this defeat. Ricochet violently attacked Strickland with scissors at Fight for the Fallen. Ricochet lost his claim to the Embassy robe and was defeated in a match at Revolution due to their fierce rivalry. After that, Ricochet made it to the International Championship eliminator tournament, where he will face Kenny Omega and Mike Bailey in a three-way title match at Dynasty 2025.

In 2024, Ricochet went back to Japan and fought alongside Cima for the Gleat wrestling promotion. He defeated Soma Watanabe and El Hijo del Vikingo.
