Akam: A Brief Biography
Sunny Dhinsa is a Canadian professional wrestler and former amateur wrestler. He is best known for his work with WWE as Akam. He is a former WWE RAW and NXT Tag Team Champion.
Professional Wrestling Career
WWE (2014-2020)
In 2014, Dhinsa signed with WWE and began working for NXT. In 2016, he formed a tag team with Rezar called Authors of Pain. At TakeOver Toronto, they won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament by defeating TM-61. At TakeOver San Antonio, they won the NXT Tag Team Championship from DIY.
At TakeOver Brooklyn III, they lost the titles to Sanity. At TakeOver WarGames, they teamed up with Roderick Strong but lost. In 2018, they made their RAW debut. In November, they won the RAW Tag Team Championship by defeating Seth Rollins. At Survivor Series, they defeated The Bar.
After they lost the titles, the team disappeared from television for a while. In 2019, they returned and aligned themselves with Seth Rollins. They assisted Rollins until WrestleMania 36. After Mania, they were released from the company.
