Alan Tate: A Brief Biography
Alan Tate is an English professional footballer, who plays for Swansea City in the Premier League. He embarked on his football career as a trainee at Manchester United and subsequently earned himself a professional contract. He has captained the United\'s reserve team that included the likes of Quinton Fortune, Luke Chadwick and Chris Eagles. He spend time away with Swansea City during two loan periods. He played a major role in the club\'s battle against relegation from the Football League in the 2002–03 season, before joining the club as a permanent member in 2004. Primarily a centre- back, Tate proved his versatility by switching up the position with rhe right-back slot and centre of midfield, garnering him the title \'Player of the Year\'. During the 2008–09 season, Tate covered all positions in defence, including goalkeeper against Queens Park Rangers. The season 2009-10, saw Tate in the top of his form as he captained and played most of his games in his favourite position at centre-back.
