Alberto Aquilani: A Brief Biography
Alberto Aquilani is an Italian professional footballer who plays for Fiorentina and the Italian national team as a central midfielder, an attacking midfielder and at a times can operate as a playmaker. He made his debut in Serie A at the age of eighteen on 10 May 2002 against Torino with Roma winning the game 3-1. In order to gain first team experience, he was loaned to Serie B club Triestina for the 2003–04 season. Alberto Aquilani started his career at Roma and performed as a regular player in the Roma side during the 2005–06 season. He displayed his mastery in the game in the Champions League against Real Madrid . He also scored two long range goals in the first two matches of the 2007–08 season against Palermo and Siena. Moving forward, he signed with Liverpool , Juventus and Milan on loan finally returning to Liverpool for the 2012-13 season. At a very early age, he was capped for Italy at 2001 European Under-16 Football Championship. He was also victorious at the 2003 UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship with Italy and even scored one goal to his credit.
