Álvaro Rubio: A Brief Biography

Álvaro Rubio Robres (born in Logroño, Spain) is a Spanish midfielder who plays for Real Valladolid in La Liga. Alvaro started his professional career in Zaragoza’s reserve team and soon moved to Albacete Balompié for a loan on a long-term basis. After having well played 25 games in the season 2002-03, he made his top flight debut against Real Betis on October 26th, 2003 that was the club\'s first success for seven years. In the year 2006, Alvaro signed with Real Valladolid and being promoted to the top level division of his debut compaign. Although rubio scored his first professional goal against CA Osasuna in the year 2007 by played mainly as a defensive minded player and appeared 16 league games only in the season 2009-10, due to injuries and relegated to the second division.
