Emory Andrew Tate III, an American-British Internet personality and former professional kickboxer was born on December 1, 1986. After retiring from kickboxing, Tate took over social media by posting a slew of extremely controversial clips that went viral. As a result of his viral content, he garnered a massive audience to whom he then promoted his paid memberships and courses on making online income and attaining financial freedom. Early Life and Career
Andrew Tate was born in Washington, D.C., on December 1st, 1986. He was raised in Goshen, Indiana, and Chicago, before relocating to Luton, England, as a child. His African-American father, Emory Tate, was an International Master in the game of chess. His mother worked as a catering assistant. Tate has also stated that he had a Christian upbringing and is also biracial. He started playing chess at the age of five and participated in adult tournaments as a child.
Andrew Tate’s Career in Kickboxing
Tate began intensive training in martial arts and boxing in 2005. In November 2008, The International Sport Kickboxing Association (ISKA) ranked him as the seventh-best light-heavyweight kickboxer in Britain. He won the British ISKA Full Contact Cruiserweight championship in Derby, England, in 2009 while working as a TV ad salesman, and was ranked first in his division in all of Europe. This was Tate’s first belt and title despite having won 17 of his previous 19 fights.
He lost to Jean-Luc Benoit by decision the first time around, then in their rematch in 2011, he defeated Benoit by knockout to win his first ISKA world title. Tate lost the Enfusion championship tournament to Franci Grajš in December 2012. Till now, he had won all 18 of his prior matches by knockout, and before his defeat, he was ranked as the second-best light-heavyweight kickboxer worldwide.
Tate became a two-division champion in 2013 after defeating Vincent Petitjean in a 12-round contest for his second ISKA world title. He is currently retired from all combat sports.
In his last fight before retirement, Tate squared off against Cosmin Lingurar at KO Masters 8 in Romania. He defeated Lingurar via a technical knockout in the second round.
