Early Life and Career
Ariane Lipski, who was born in Curitiba, Brazil, and has Polish ancestry, began training in Muay Thai at a young age and became the Brazilian Muay Thai champion before transitioning to MMA. She fought mainly in Brazil and Poland, mostly under the Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki promotion, where she won her debut and later defeated Sheila Gaff via knockout in the first round.
Lipski won the KSW Women's Flyweight Championship against Diana Belbita at KSW 39: Colosseum, and then successfully defended the title against Mariana Morais at KSW 40, and Silvana Gómez Juárez at KSW 42 via unanimous decision. Eventually, Lipski was signed by the UFC.
Adriane Lipskis Career in UFC
In November 2018, Lipski was scheduled to make her UFC debut against Maryna Moroz, but the bout was canceled when Moroz pulled out due to injury. She eventually made her debut two months later in January 2019, losing to Joanne Calderwood by a unanimous decision.
She lost her second UFC fight in June 2019 via unanimous decision. Lipski was scheduled to fight Priscila Cachoeira in August 2019, but Cachoeira pulled out due to a positive drug test. Lipski won her first UFC fight in November 2019 against Isabella de Padua via unanimous decision.
She won her second UFC fight in July 2020 against Luana Carolina via kneebar submission, earning a Performance of the Night award. She lost to Antonina Shevchenko in November 2020 via technical knockout, and to Montana De La Rosa in June 2021 via TKO.
Lipski won her fight against Mandy Böhm in September 2021 via unanimous decision. Her scheduled fight against JJ Aldrich in March 2022 was canceled, and she was replaced by Gillian Robertson. Lipski was scheduled to fight Priscila Cachoeira in August 2022, but was not medically cleared and the fight was rescheduled for UFC on ESPN 41 in a bantamweight bout. She lost the fight via technical knockout.
