Buescher is the cousin of the 2012 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Champion, James Buescher. He is also the 2012 ARCA Racing Series and 2015 NASCAR Xfinity Series champion.
Buescher made his debut in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2015 at Fontana, driving the No. 34 Ford for Front Row Motorsports, substituting David Ragan, who at that time was substituting for Kyle Busch. Buescher finished 20th in his debut and ran five more Cup races for FRM in 2015. He made his Xfinity Series debut in 2011, racing for Roush Fenway Racing in 2011, at the Bubba Burger 250, Richmond.
