Daniele Gastaldello

Daniele Gastaldello is an Italian footballer who plays as a defender for Serie A club Sampdoria. Gastaldello was bought by Juventus F.C. in 2002 from Serie C2 side Calcio Padova; in that season he played in the Primavera squad. In 2003 season he was involved in Nicola Legrottaglie transfer. He was sold to Chievo after which he was loaned to Crotone in January 2004. In 2005, he was bought back, but Juventus sold him in co-ownership to Siena for €450k. In 2007 Gastaldello was bought by Sampdoria by Juventus bought Siena half for €650k and sold to Sampdoria for €1.25M. On 5 March 2010, Gastaldello extended his contract with Sampdoria until 2014. In 2010-11 season, he often partnered with Massimo Volta in 2010-11 UEFA Europa League and Lucchini in the domestic. He received his first call-up for Italy senior team on 28 August 2010. On 29 March 2011 he made his debut in the friendly match against Ukraine in Kiev.
