Daulet Niyazbekov: A Brief Biography
Daulet Niyazbekov is a Kazhastani wrestler born on 12th February 1989. He is a native of Zhanakorgan city of Kyzylorda Region in Kazakhstan. Daulet specializes in Freestyle wrestling and represents his country in the 65 kg Freestyle category.
Daulet received his first international breakthrough in 2011 when he won the Bronze medal in the 55 kg category at the World Wrestling Championships. The following year, he made his Olympics debut at the London Olympics but lost to Yang Kyong-II of North Korea in the Bronze medal bout.
In 2013, Daulet won the Bronze medal in the 60 kg category at the Asian Wrestling Championships. He would go on to win three Asian titles (2015, 2016, and 2018), and two Bronze medals (2014 and 2017). In 2019, Daulet Niyazbekov took home the Silver medal in the 65 kg category at the World Wrestling Championships.
Daulet Niyazbekov will compete in his second Olympics at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics in the 65 kg Freestyle category.
