Drew Dober Early Life
Andrew Dober was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. Dober began practicing Muay Thai at the age of 14 and became a two-time Amateur National Champion. He also wrestled during his junior and senior years at Millard North High School. Dober is a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, which he earned under Ed Shobe of Mid-America Martial Arts before moving to Colorado to train. He had an amateur record of 9-0 before turning professional in 2009. He fought and won against Nick Nolte at Bellator 16 on April 29, 2010, via arm-triangle choke submission in the first round.
Over the next three years, Dober competed in several promotions, including Victory Fighting Championship and Titan Fighting Championship, and compiled a record of 12-2. He later appeared on The Ultimate Fighter.
