Fabian Giefer: A Brief Biography
Fabian Giefer is a German footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Fortuna Dusseldorf. He made his Bundesliga debut on 6 November 2009 against Eintracht Frankfurt. He had a clean sheet and good statistics and the team won 4–0. On 1 December 2010, he made his international debut for the UEFA Europa League. The team won 1–0 against Norway\'s Rosenborg. On 7 August 2011 against FSV Mainz 05 in the opening weekend of the 2011–12 Bundesliga season, Giefer was concussed and stated that he doesn\'t remember anything about the last month. On 4 June 2012, it was announced that Giefer will join Fortuna Düsseldorf with a two-year contract until 30 June 2014.
