Gabriel Cichero: A Brief Biography
Gabriel Alejandro Cichero Konarek also known as Gabriel Cichero is a Venezuelan footballer who mainly plays the role of defender Centre-Back.
Born on 25 April 1984 he currently plays for the Delhi Dynamos FC in the Indian Super League. He also plays for the Venezuela national team.
Hailing from Caracas, Venezuela he started his professional career with Uruguayan Primera División side Montevideo Wanderers 2001- 02 season and he managed to score one goal in all 35 matches.
Club Career
Cichero returned to Uruguay but then he was transferred to OFC Vihren which is a Bulgarian Championship side. After his stay in Bulgaria, he returned to his native Venezuela and joined Deportivo Italia.
Cichero was loaned out to New York Red Bulls of Major League Soccer on 11 July 2008.
In the wake of being released by New York, he turned out for Caracas FC for the 2009 season.
Cichero joined Newell's Old Boys on loan for the 2010– 11 Argentine Primera División season.
He played 23 games and scored once.
On 4 August 2011, it was confirmed that he would move to French side RC Lens, on a one-year loan deal with an option to buy for two more years.
Cichero joined Ligue 2 outfit FC Nantes on a season-long deal. Nantes finished the 2012–13 season gaining promotion back to the Ligue 1.
On August 10 it was declared he signed for Indian club Delhi Dynamos FC for the 2017-18 season.
