Giovanni Andrés Moreno Cardona was born on 1 July 1986 in Segovia, Colombia. He is an attacking midfielder for the Colombia national football team. He leads Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua F.C.

Moreno served the Florida Soccer during his youth career. His professional career began with Colombian second division side Envigado.
Debut
Moreno was absorbed in the first division of Envigado in the year 2006. In 2008, he made his international debut in a friendly against Nigeria. Till now he has scored 3 goals for his nation.
Rise to glory
Moreno and his team Shanghai Shenhua were the champions in the Chinese FA Cup in the year 2017. He scored a goal for Colombia in the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification against Chile in front of his home crowd.
Club Career
During his service at Envigado for two years, Moreno scored 40 goals in 66 matches. For two years he was with Atlético Nacional and scored 44 goals for the club. the Colombian footballer joined Argentine Primera División side Racing Club for two years and scored 12 goals for them. Since the year 2012, he is the part of Shanghai Shenhua of the Chinese Super League and has scored 52 goals for the same.
