Javier Horacio Pinola is an Argentine professional footballer who plays for River Plate as a left-back in the Argentine Clausura. Pinola was born on 24 February, 1983, in Olivos, Argentina.


Background


Pinola spent his youth career with the Huracán Tres Arroyos. He played for Chacarita Juniors in the Argentine Primera División as the senior player. But he has spent most of his professional career at 1.FC Nurnberg in Germany. He has appeared in 286 competitive games.


Debut


Pinola played for his country in the year 2007 in the friendly matches against Switzerland and Algeria. Also, he played 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Bolivia.


He moved to Spain in the year 2003 as he was signed by the Atlético Madrid.


Rise to Glory


Pinola played for Germany's 1. FC Nürnberg for ten years. In his second season of Bundesliga, he contributed with two goals and two assists in six games and was permanently signed by Nürnberg.


In 2007 his team won the DFB-Pokal. He has scored seven goals for the German club.
