Jermaine Jenas: A Brief Biography
Jermaine Anthony Jenas is an English professional footballer who plays for Queens Park Rangers. Jenas began his career at Nottingham Forest where he immediately impressed during the 2001–02 season. He was sold to Newxastle United for £5 million in February 2002. In his first season with the club, he managed to win the 2002–03 PFA Young Player of the Year award. He scored a total of 12 goals in 152 appearances for Newcastle United. After a period of discontentment at the club, he was sold to Tottenham Hotspur on transfer deadline day of 31 August for an initial fee of £7 million. Throughout the season, Jenas netted seven goals from midfield as Tottenham qualified for the UEFA Cup. On Boxing Day against Fulham, Jenas made his 100th league appearance for Tottenham. 31 August 2011, Jenas joined Aston Villa on a season loan deal from Tottenham Hotspur. He returned to the Spurs later on. He finally made an appearance for Tottenham coming on as a substitute in a 1-1 draw against West Brom on 25 August 2012. On 28 September 2012 Jenas signed a six month loan deal with Forest. On the final day of the January 2013 transfer window Queens Park Rangers signed Jenas on an 18-month contract for an undisclosed fee from Tottenham.
