Kevin Magnussen is a professional race car driver born on October 5, 1992, in Roskilde, Denmark, and has raced for different teams in Formula One. Kevin is the son of former F1 driver Jan Magnussen. His racing career started with karting and he made rapid progression through lesser levels. In 2008, he took the Danish Formula Ford Championship and then won second place in the Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup in 2009. In 2013, he secured the title with the Formula Renault 3.5 Series, afterwards in 2014 transferred to Formula One driving for McLaren. He did a good job in his first season finishing second at the Australian Grand Prix and becoming the first new driver since Lewis Hamilton 2007, who stepped to the podium in his very first race.

He was signed to join Renault for the 2016 season and moved to Haas in 2017. He spent a year away from F1 at the end of 2020. Magnussen returned to his seat at Haas in 2022. Big wins and successes, especially one first pole of the race for him at the 2022 Sao Paulo Grand Prix. A challenge Magnussen faced in the 2024 season was a one-race ban, following the Italian Grand Prix as he was handed 12 points put on his FIA Super License-a very rare occurrence in F1. Despite this commitment to driving for Haas, the team circulated news that with Esteban Ocon and rookie Oliver Bearman, Magnussen would be leaving at the end of the 2024 season.
