Lourdes Dominguez Lino: A Brief Biography
Lourdes Domínguez Lino is a Spanish professional female tennis player who reached her career-high singles ranking of world numer 40 on 11 September 2006. In 1999, she defeated she won Girl\'s singles to win the Girl\'s singles in Roland Garros. In August 2002, Lino was suspended from the WTA tour for 3 months, after testing positive for cocaine. In 2005 in Bogotá she faced Flavia Pennetta in final, but lost. In 2006 she again faced Pennetta in the Bogotá final, and won her first WTA Tour singles tournament. In May 2009 at the French Open she made it as far as the third round, where she lost to Canadian world number 24 Aleksandra Wozniak, 6–2, 3–6, 6–3, with some rallies lasting 25 shots. In February 2011 she won her 2nd WTA Tour title, defeating Frenchwoman Mathilde Johansson in Bogotá.
